Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began by releasing a humorous rap track that dealt with issues of sexuality and race. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood after she released a series of raps. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants within Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was through the trumpet. Then, she started traditional and hip-hop training. Concentrating on school she majored in journalism and women's studies, and was learning Mandarin in Beijing for a time. After graduation, her focus shift to music. The track My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in 2012. The track was later included in her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album also included viral hits such as the body-positive Queef or winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The track that was published specifically linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her travel guide for 2015. Apart from having published a book and a singer, she was also a professional as a performer. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films like Neighbors 2. Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018 she got an array of noteworthy roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June, she launched the EP In Fina We Trust.
