Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress, best recognized for her roles in films on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She earned the B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis, a writer and American actress active in theatre as well as television and film. Her career began as an actress in theatre before going on to make appearances in numerous TV series, mainstream and independent films. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with high praise but also received a host of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. In 1995 she appeared in her first performance in The Tempest as Ariel. The credits on stage comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner. In terms of her work in the film industry Her most well-known roles are Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. On television her regular role in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her high praise.
